Basic Manners
Learn how to train your silly pooch using a gentler approach! Only motivational based training methods are used, with a strong emphasis on positive reinforcement.
This is a four-week class for dogs over 16 weeks of age. Each session lasts about one hour. Dogs attend all classes. Please remember to bring yummy training treats.
* Provide your dog with an alternative to “inappropriate” behavior
* Discover your dog’s inner social graces
* Topics include backup, polite greetings/no jumping, meet & greet (people & dogs), go to your place, give it/leave it, and more based on interest
Prerequisite: Basic Skills or equivalent.
Price: $80 for the 4-week session
Note: Group classes are not suitable for your shy, fearful, reactive or aggressive dog. For assistance with these behavioral issues, please schedule a private lesson.
Please Note: As of January 2010, this class will no longer be offered. The curriculum will be covered in the Basic Skills class (give it/leave it, backup) and the Beyond Basics class (polite greetings/no jumping, meet & greet (people & dogs), go to your place).
