Learn how to train your silly pooch using a gentler approach! YSD only uses compassionate, effective, pain and force-free training methods based on positive reinforcement.
This two session class is intended to improve your dog’s impulse control when it comes to greeting people as well as dogs. This class is to curb overly enthusiastic or rude greetings for people and dog friendly dogs, it is not designed for aggressive dogs. Classes are conducted on leash. Each session lasts about one hour.
This class is not intended for reactive or aggressive dogs!
Prerequisite: Your dog needs to know how to sit on verbal cue or with hand signal. You will need to attend an orientation unless you have completed Basic Skills. There is only one orientation required and once attended, you may take Basic Skills or Polite Greetings.
If your dog needs help all around with many skills, it's highly recommended that you take Basic Skills first. If your dog pulls continuously on leash, not situationally around people and dogs, it's highly recommended that you take Basic Skills first.
Price: $25 orientation, $50 for the 2-session class
Note: Group classes are not suitable for your shy, fearful, reactive or aggressive dog. For assistance with these behavioral issues, please schedule an individual lesson.
